HOW TO: Sign applications

Tuesday 6 July 2010

Sometimes when you try to install an application, it says that it can't be installed because it's not signed. The solution is here, just follow the next steps :

- Go to http://cer.opda.cn/en/ and press register

- Now, all you have to do is the fill up the form and login.

- After logging in the website, press APPLY CER and you will see a form like this one :

Model**For example:E71
IMEI**
Confirm IMEI**
Remark**For example:John's N97

- Fill up all the gaps and press "Submit application".

- Now , all you have to do is waiting to get the .cer and .key. Both files will be located in "My certificate".

- The next step is to install SignSis in your device, you can download from the next link :

- After the installation, upload both files .cer and .key to your phone (through USB for example) and remember the directory they are. (For example, in my device I used D:/download/ for both files.

- Remember to put your files unsigned in your mobile and remember the file path.

- Now run the application SignSis and you will see something like this :

- Sis File : You must write the application path you want to be signed

- Key File: The path of the key file you uploaded before and downloaded from ocpd link

- Cert File: The path of the cert file you uploaded before and downloaded from ocpd link

- After fill up the three gaps, select options and press Sign. If everything is OK, a message will be appear like "Signed successfully".

- Now your new application signed will be in the same path that the unsigned application with the extension .sisx

With this method, you can sign lots of applications for your Nokia device
